To our valued customers:
On October 18th, we had the unfortunate need to recall some, not all, of our Fruit 66 products. The products recalled were made by our co-packer, Cold Spring Brewing of Cold Spring, Minnesota. Cold Spring Brewery requested that we do the recall because we had some cans that were expanding and popping open. We were concerned a consumer could be injured if the top popped off. Cold Spring was unable to identify the root cause of the problem.
It should be noted that this recall does not affect any of our Epic branded sparkling products and is only for select lot codes made by Cold Spring Brewing. Other products in the marketplace were made by other co-packers and are not being recalled. The recall is limited to three production codes: 6200CS, 6201CS, 6202CS, 6266CS. The product code can be found on the bottom of the can.

We issued the recall out of an abundance of caution. We have not received any complaints from consumers of our products, but Cold Spring claims one of its employees was injured when one of the cans in its inventory popped open. We strive to make the safest and best quality products for the students we serve and in no way would want to damage the trust we have earned with school nutritionists and students so this decision was taken.
We have notified each of our distributors that were affected by the recall to let them know which products they purchased from us are affected. They in turn will reach out to those schools where this product was sent. We have also notified the FDA and we did this recall with their knowledge.
Once again we apologize for any inconvenience. If you have any questions about this event, please feel free to contact me or our customer service department at 866-929-0066 Ext. 701.
